"...God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe
the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
A strong delusion is sweeping across America in these last days. Here are just a few
examples:
Newsweek's May 21, 2012 issue declared Obama
the country's "first gay president." The president lived up to this title when, while
speaking about civil liberty accomplishments, here is what he said in that second inaugural address: "We,
the people, declare today that the most evident of truths -- that all of us are created equal -- is the star that guides us
still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall ...."Seneca Falls,
Selma, and Stonewall?
By Seneca Falls,
Obama was referring to a watershed moment in the women's rights movement that took place in the mid-1800s in Seneca Falls,
New York.
By Selma, he was referring
to the pivotal civil rights marches and protests that took place in Selma, Alabama, in the mid-1960s.
And by Stonewall he was referring to the Stonewall Riots
that took place in New York City in 1969 when drag queens and their gay friends fought back against the police who raided
their bar.
So, the president put the women of Seneca
Falls, the blacks of Selma, and the drag queens of Stonewall in the same category.
The president also said: "It is now our
generation's task to carry on what those pioneers began. Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are
treated like anyone else under the law -- for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another
must be equal as well."
Now Mr. Obama
is being referred to as the "Deity President" by those who are comparing him to God. Here
are some examples:
- A Florida A&M professor named Barbara
Thompson published a book titled, "The Gospel According to Apostle Barack." In this book,
Thompson likens Obama to Jesus Christ.
- Street vendors
and souvenir stores across Washington D.C. are selling posters depicting President Obama as Jesus Christ.
- Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx recently called Barack Obama "our lord
and savior."
- Michelle Obama, at
a campaign rally on April 17, 2012."This president has brought us out of the dark and into the light."
- In a cover story for the inauguration, Newsweek had a side image of Obama with the title
"The Second Coming."
- Louis
Farrakhan, the controversial leader of the Nation of Islam, has declared Barack Obama to be the Messiah. Farrakhan said, "You
are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth....That's
a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."
Let's not forget the words of our Lord, "I
am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another..." Isaiah 42:8
"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal
their land." "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place."
2 Chronicles 7:14-15
Keep Praying!
