It's interesting when you read the New Testament that the writers say little if anything about the political situation in which they live. Rome was in termoil duringt the first century. Corruption was rampant and Christians were going through all kinds of discrimination and attacks, but they say very little about that. They have their mind and attention on things above.

Maybe we need to learn from the first century Christians as we face the 21st century world in which we live today. 

We need to develope a Biblical perspective and keep our minds on "things above."
