The 2010 election is over....whew, no more political ads for a few months. The voters sent a message to Washington that they are not happy with the way the country is headed and want changes made immediately. Reduce the national debt, repeal the health care, create jobs, etc. The Republicans are claiming victory and the Tea Party has suddenly become a major force in American politics.

The truth of the matter is that the problems with America are not political, they are Spiritual! The enemy is not flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places. This country will not see the blessing of God until there is repentance and that repentance must begin with God's people, not the politicians. But, sad to say, we're not hearing that message preached from many pulpits today. Instead we're still hearing sugar coated, feel good, non confrontational sermons that are designed to make "more of the same."

Spiritual problems cannot be fixed through fleshly means. There is only one way and that's God's way and God says, "If I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My prople, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn fromt heir wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:13-14

Do you realize what that scripture says? It says that the people of God are the key to the healing of the land! What an awesome promise from God. He says, "You, as My people hold the key to the healing of the land." And He doesn't say that the healing takes place in the voting booth, but rather in the prayer closet! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that we should not vote, but what if we spent as much time, energy and resources in the prayer closet as we do in elections; what a real difference it would make.

"And when you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matthew 6 6

Now you know, that's what the Bible says!!
