Ministry in Canada- Martha and I leave for Canada tomorrow (Thursday, September 17) for meetings
in two churches. The first is Meadow Creek Community Church in Hamilton, Ontariowhere Raj Sandhu is the pastor.
We have know Raj and his wife Damini for many years, since meeting them when we lived and worked in New Brunswick from 1983-1988.
The second church is Evergreen Community Church located in Simco, Ontario where Richard Marten is
pastor. The church is having a church-wide retreat at Camp Crossroads which is about 2 hours north of Toronto.
Please
pray for us as we travel and as I preach. Pray for Revival!!
These are desperate times! We are seeing a lot of
anger spilling out of our society resulting in every kind of atrocious behavior. Every day we see things happening that we
would have never dreamed would happen just a few years ago.
All of this is an indication of our great need for
Spiritual Awakening in our churches. Where are the voices calling America back to God? David Wilkerson is the only man that
I am aware of with a national voice that is calling for genuine repentance and revival and he is being maligned by some of
our popular preacher as a doomsday preacher.
Where are the Isaiahs who are willing to confront an evil king?
Where are the Jeremiahs who are weeping for the condition
of the nation?
Where are the Ezras who are
driven to tears and repentance because God's people have married themselves to the world?
Where are the John the
Baptists crying in the wilderness?
Where is a modern day John Knox about whom Mary Queen of Scots said, "I
fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the armies of England?"
Oh, my friends, we need to pray for
God to raise up someone, somewhere who will have the courage to speak the truth in love and call this wayward, sinful society
back to God?
God is looking for a man who will stand in the gap!
Ezekiel 22:30
"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on
behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."
Oh God, what an awful indictment!
No one to stand in the gap.... on behalf of the land that I should not destroy it.
Maybe, just maybe, God will
raise up a voice out of obscurity, an unknown, nobody that will call this land back to God!
